Electrical Socket-outlet and Switches:



INTRODUCTION: 
Sockets was categorized under power circuit,which supply electrical energy to the connected load. It should be directly connect from distribution fuse board for safety and proper energy delivering. While Switches are under lightning circuit, normally they can be loop together with common supply. But do not make all your light with common supply, during fault total darkness will arrive in the whole resident,so divide

Socket outlets: 
13AMP SOCKETis the power outlet, it used 2.5mm2 as a load wire from main distribution panel.
15AMP SOCKETis the air condition or machine power outlet it need 4mmpure copper cable, it must have direct source from distribution fuse board. 
Switches: 
1.  ­­­­­­­­1Gang 1-way switch : This switch has one gang and 1way this means it control single point of light in off or on state, whit out any alternative. 
2Gang 1-way Switch: This has ability to control more than one point of light at the different time .for instant it can be used to control point of light  in  the  corridor  and other gang to control security light. 
3Gang 1-way  switch : It allow 3 points of light to be control at different time, it  is applicable  for ability  which has a lot of security light to reduce load in one gang only.
4Gang 1-way switch: it just an additional advantage over the 3gang , this will reduce connecting much lighting point on single gang.
1Gang ,2-way switch: this is 2way switch, that give user chance to be able to control single point of light at the different position for  instance in your bedroom, you can  connect at the opposite opening of the door, and another one at your bed, during entering  you canon the light after clamming your bed, you can turn the light off ,which out returning to the first switch. procedure of connecting it is as follow:
                        























Water heater switch: It was rated 20A.
 Intermediate Switch: is a switch which always installed at the middle of 2way switches, for instants in an hotel or industries in a long corridor you can either switch on or off of the light point at any position .this eliminate returning  back to switch on or off.

ELECTRICAL POWER CIRCUITS
 Introduction: power circuit consists of socket out let with high power
rating which include:13A,15A,20A,32A that feed power consume devices
such as Air conditioner,bathroom heater,press iron, washing machine
and warm room heater. As an electrician,there is measure to be taken for standard electrical wiring. Firstly, size of cable is very
important each power circuit has its cable rating. All power circuit must be connected independently to distribution board for safe and
accurate delivery of power supply. Only few13A socket outlets can be
tapped together, but15A and above,it must be connected to distribution
board MCB independently from 20A to above. For 13A
circuits,use 2-5mm2,15A use 4mm2 while cooker unit use 6mm2,do not loop
high power circuit is against IEE regulation. Also for piping
work,layout separate piping connection for power circuit, during the
pulling of cable you can use correct means for lubricating the high cable power rating,for easing pulling, due to long distance. There is an important precautions, as an electrician to apply,like at the natural terminals, make sure you high it accurately,also at each
socket outlet terminals make sure high it very well to avoid
electrical surges which is enemy for home appliances, so avoiding it
will safe our appliances from burning. It is advisable to assign separate distribution board for power circuit, this will give you
chance of utilizing small power rating generator for your light point.

The floor area must not passed100m2,only13A socket outlet was
permitted to use in ring circuit,But 15A and above, must be install
independently Also, it advisable not connect ring circuit close to
distribution board, since closer conductor carry less impedance,which
leads to inequality share of the load. As stated earlier 2.5mm2 cable
rating is OK. It is permitted to connect spurs, that is socket outlet
attached to ring circuit, it connected using normal single cable not
like ring circuit which use double cable through each socket outlet.

terminals of each terminal of socket out let must be high very well to
avoid surge.


Sockets are categorized under power supply in electrical wiring system. Care must be taking, concern its load wire do not under rate it.  For 13A, used 2.5mm2.For 15A, use 4mm2.while for Cooker Control Unit use 6.0mm2, for safety quality power deliver
